Sunday night - at least I am not alone in the house - there are several other Living Things - at least one bat who lives in the roof and sometimes flies around the kitchen (if the light's off), several zillion termites (downstairs- actually hopefully less now as I had another attack on them yesterday with some diesel), some cockroaches, the odd centipede lurking and waiting to bite (ouch), several dozen mosquitos, a lot of spiders, harmless crawly worms, some inch-frogs (like to live in the bath), some small lizards, several trillion small pin-prick-sized ants (just put down some sugar or so and they'll appear from nowhere), the odd moth, ....and that's just indoors.

Outside in the yard and surrounding village - free-range chickens, cats, dogs, goats (mostly tethered), sometimes a cow, horse, bigger lizards, cattle egrets (see photo I took the other morning from my bedroom window, of one with a goat someone had tied in the yard), a zillion mating? crickets (right now, making noise as usual). the ubiquitous rat (thankfully a rare sight near my house), and a lot of cute birds, such as the yellow 'banana quoit' (see photo I got off the internet) . I've probably forgotten some other wildlife. Sometimes the monkeys come in the area, but I don't see them much (there are more monkeys than people on the island apparently, though).

Hi to all family and friends around the world (ie-UK mostly) and in St. Kitts too. This is a new blog because my Dad says he is interested in seeing/reading about my day to day life here in St. Kitts. (My other blog is rather non-productive at present  :{
